I just thought I would open a blog to continue on the discussion from class on Sunday (2/15/09). I really enjoyed the lesson Brad taught and thought there was a lot of good stuff to take away from class. Just open this one up??? Thoughts, concerns, or just any comments?
Are disiplines or feelings (emotions) more important.

TD,
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, discipline is more important than the emotions. I believe that emotions are important, but when we are not feeling like doing the disciplines I think we still need to follow through with them even if we are not emotionally connected at the time. I think that it helps us get out of the funk that we find ourselves in if we continue to do the disciplines even when we do not want to. Just my thoughts.
Can you be a devout Christian w/o disciplines? How do we become more discplined?
ReplyDeleteDisciplines are basic to life. It's impossible to live without them. The issue is not whether or not we have disciplines in life, but what they are and where they are leading. To follow after Christ entails discipline.
